I'm thrilled to share my wonderful experience with Deepika who worked on my sangeet, wedding, and reception looks. Throughout the entire process, she was professional, sweet, considerate, making the experience truly memorable. Her ability to effortlessly and swiftly create stunning makeup looks for all three days was truly impressive. What stood out even more was her keen attention to detail and understanding of my desire for subtle and natural makeup. She brought my vision to life perfectly, enhancing my features while keeping the looks elegant and understated. I couldn't have asked for a better artist to be a part of my special days. On my wedding day, I entrusted Depika Ahuja with my makeup, paying a substantial 32k for her services. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but satisfactory. It was evident that she had overbooked herself that day, leaving insufficient time for each client. She rushed through my makeup in just 40 minutes. Subsequently, she hurriedly handed me off to her hairstylist, who lacked proficiency in hairstyling techniques. Within 30-40 minutes of completing my makeup, my hair began to fall out, and my overall appearance suffered. Even my eyelashes were improperly secured and started coming loose. My makeup appeared flat, leaving me thoroughly disappointed. I'm deeply dissatisfied with Deepika Ahuja and her team. It seems their primary focus is on profit, with little consideration for client satisfaction. Each time I revisit my wedding photos, I can't help but regret choosing Deepika Ahuja as my makeup artist. It's disheartening to hear that even my friends and sisters looked more beautiful than I did on my wedding day, and they only paid 3 to 4k for their makeup. I had always wanted a very subtle and natural look for my wedding. Deepika was amazing in understanding my preference and even more amazing in creating a perfect dreamy look for my wedding !! The empathy you possess is what sets you apart from other MUAs. Many excel at their work but only a few take it beyond skill and into competencies. People assume that talking to their clients about pleasantries is called good interpersonal skills, but to LISTEN to their true needs is what trumps everything. Most artists try to make their clients look like how the artist would want, but you make us look like how WE want and are comfortable with. I really do appreciate that. Cheers to you and your team. To make someone look good is a talent but to make someone “FEEL” good is an art that Deepika naturally excels in. I barely get makeup done & now- I can’t imagine anyone except Deepika as my lifelong makeup expert! It’s more than just the looks for me, Deepika makes you feel heard, she listens to what you truly are comfortable with & knows how to work around it. During my wedding, I had an extremely difficult task I was dealing with that pushed my time to get ready way off- instead of losing her patience & leaving me high & dry, Deepika totally jumped in to make sure I was alright, my mom & sis were alright and repeatedly assured us that she is here for any help we need before we get our makeup started. It’s easier said than done but not many have the empathy that Deepika & her team do. She loves what she does & it shows!
